HiiQ plans to build and own multiple new modular data centres (DC's) in rural Alberta. We are finalizing a business arrangement with a DC operator/tenant who is well-versed in a variety of operating systems, networks and databases and also brings an established DC client base. Our initial Tier 2 site is expected to be online in 2021 and is planned to provide up to 290K TB of data storage at a cost that is lower than the competition. Contact us now for a quote.
Abundant, clean-burning natural gas will provide the primary power source for our modern DC's with back up power provided from the grid, solar and wind power. Natural gas fueled generators will be sited adjacent to our DC enclosures with natural gas delivered on-site from area producers under long term natural gas purchase contracts.
Our DC's can be customized for each client and use existing DC technology. These modular systems include expandable rack space, complete HVAC systems and on-site connection to primary power sources. Site and data security, safety and the environment are our priorities. Our sites will be configured to provide system redundancies for our data clients.
Our proposed rural locations provide us with the competitive advantage of lower power costs, site rents and property taxes. Our business relationship with an established DC partner/tenant, who currently operates multiple DC's in Canada, gives us the confidence that we can deliver scalable data solutions for our clients.
